Honestly, I am so horrified by the numbers I just listed, I am afraid to attempt pulling up the current information to consider it.
The horrifying fact is, an average of 22 veterans kill themselves every day. I was almost one of them. My son is one of them. I know the cost. I know the pain. I know the feelings and thoughts involved with this silent killer. If I had my way, that number would be ZERO!
Veterans have done their part. They paid a price for the country that few will ever understand. That they are homeless or suffering from things like PTSI
and MST
makes me angry. Maybe, someday, the V.A. Will realize there are ways, other than pills and what they call “treatment” to help the veteran who is suffering.
It is my belief that their "treatment" does more harm than good.
I am happy to train anyone who works with veterans therapeutically to do the things I do for them. I want the “22 club” reduced to zero new members! I want it extinct! That information is listed under the "Training" tab under "Therapists" for your consideration.
I will train you free of charge!
Now, I am not going to blow smoke up your ass and tell you I can “cure” the PTSI
or MST. However, I can assure you, I can help considerably with the symptoms, which ever set or combination you suffer from.
I understand the issue better than most doctors, because I actually live with PTSI
and they just read about it in a class.
Sure, maybe they have tried to work with hundreds of people with PTSI
or MST, but until you have it, you will never understand it.
It is that simple in my mind.
First, let me say this, PTSI
and MST, which are closely related, are natural reactions to unnatural circumstances and experiences. It is perfectly normal for people to get this. It has been a reality for all of humanity's time here. In the civil war, they called PTSI "soldiers heart." In WWI
and WWII
they called it "shell shock." In Vietnam, they called it "combat fatigue." Now it is PTSI. It has been with us forever. And it has not changed over time. No matter what name they call it, it is a terrible thing to suffer from. And we do suffer when afflicted with PTSI
or MST. We suffer every day, even on the good days.
There are other issues related to military service. However, none are as individually debilitating.
Whatever the issue, I can help.
Though the cause of MST
is often easier to identify, it is very closely related to PTSI. The mental processes involved are near indistinguishable. The effects? They can be just as debilitating as their close relative PTSI.
Contrary to the philosophy that the VA adheres too, I do NOT believe in reliving it over and over hoping it will miraculously “lose power” at some unspecified time in the future.
I believe every time you have to go into that shit, it traumatizes you all over again.
Though the reactions are normal, the exaggerated responses to certain stimuli are not. They are caused by a multitude of factors. One of the potential symptoms of PTSI
is the extreme reaction to sudden loud noises. Doctors call it “an exaggerated startle response” because they do not understand it.
Hey, Doc, get your ass out there and see the horrors and experience the shit I did, then tell me it is “exaggerated!”
No, this is what I have learned to do in order to survive!
As a hypnotist, I could help you take that startle response completely away! But, I am a professional and would never do that, because it is an important part of the human survival instinct. So, I help the veteran tone that down to a temporary state of heightened alert.
Yes, your guard still comes up. Fully ready to respond to a potential threat, but you no longer come out of your skin at that unexpected loud noise. This actually enhances your survival reactions, because you are no longer wasting precious seconds with useless jumping and or cringing. You are alert, focused and ready to deal with whatever is at hand.
I am only listing one thing here for a reason. Everyone has a different set of problems associated with these things. I have worked with a stunning variety of symptoms. And I have done so effectively. Because of my background, I am particularly suited to do this thing.
As with all clients, a first session includes “Negativity clearing” which gets rid of a lot of stuff that afflicts us. It “clears the smoke,” so to speak, in order to make it possible to identify the issues that really need to be addressed. I refuse to do what the doctors do, chase symptoms. I want to get to the root cause, because when you take out the root cause, all the symptoms are greatly improved, and some are gone forever. The idea is to bring those symptoms under the veterans complete control and thus, make their life much more livable, more relaxed, more comfortable and more enjoyable. This applies to any military related problem.
As stated elsewhere on this site, I use “blind therapy” wherever possible. I am especially aware of this need when it comes to military related issues such as these.
I am a veteran with PTSI. I went to the VA seeking help for a long time and am aware of their methodologies.
I have repeatedly been through their residential PTSI
treatment.
They do the best they know how (most of them) but, that's the problem, they do not know how to help, because they do not, and cannot understand the real issues. I don't care how many books they have read or classes they have aced.
PTSI
has a wide range of potential symptoms. Few people have them all. Whatever the symptoms you do have, the rate of improvement with hypnotherapy, done by someone who knows the condition, is unparalleled in my experience.
There is hope, there is a way to bring those symptoms under your control.
